Allá por el lunes 30 de abril de 2007, el torito eraser ya habló sobre el II Marathon de Podcast y Taller. 5 de Mayo.Y por lo tanto ya nos toca referenciar algo del tercero, y para eso os traemos los enlaces a sus podcasts, blogs, twitters y demás aditamentos imprescindibles para un evento de este calibre III Maratón Podcastblog (Post Oficial)

El próximo sábado 31 de Mayo a partir de las 13.00 horas (GMT) bloggers y podcasters desde todo el mundo en habla hispana celebrarán el III Maratón Podcastblog que comenzará a partir de las 13:00 horas (GMT).

Durante más de 36 horas se debatirán en directo y en formato podcast una serie de temas sobre la Red de Redes, Tecnología, El poder de los blogs, censura en Internet, la filosofía de la red, cultura, intercambios, derechos, redes de blogs, podcast educativos, blogs y podcast deportivos, posibilidad de vivir de los podcast o de los blogs, situación de podcast y blogs en hispanoamérica y en el mundo, Blogs y podcast reivindicativos, etc. Asimismo se grabarán varios podcast en directo.

Toda la emisión podrá seguirse en directo a través de Internet o descargar los audios posteriormente en formato podcast. Durante el transcurso del maratón igualmente se podrán seguir los contenidos en el blog mediante un histórico que se actualizará constantemente durante el evento. (...)

Un motor explora las conferencias universitarias

Hoy os traemos esta noticia de un motor de búsqueda que dentro de las conferencias publicadas en el MIT encuentra nociones particulares. Dentro del audio no, lo que hace es que a través de un sistema de reconocimiento vocal retranscribe la conferencia en formato texto... et voilá:

Un moteur explore les conférences universitaires

Le MIT lance un logiciel qui divise par thèmes le contenu des conférences publiées sur son site afin de permettre aux étudiants d'accéder directement à un passage choisi. Les contenus audio sont retranscrits au format texte pour faciliter la recherche.

La mise en ligne des conférences universitaires sous forme de podcasts représente un important progrès. Seul problème : un étudiant à la recherche d'une notion en particulier doit parfois écouter l'ensemble d'un cours avant de trouver le moment recherché. Pour résoudre ce problème, des chercheurs du MIT développent un moteur capable d'effectuer des recherches au sein du contenu des conférences mises en ligne sur le site de l'institut, et estimées pour le moment à plus de deux cents. Le moteur ne recherche pas au niveau de l'audio, chose très difficile à réaliser, mais retranscrit les conférences au format texte via un logiciel de reconnaissance vocale.

Edward Berger

Associate Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
University of Virginia

Edward Berger received his PhD degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University in 1996, and he has been a faculty member in the field for the past 10 years. He started his academic career at the University of Cincinnati where he enjoyed research and teaching success and was recognized with the UC College of Engineering's highest teaching honor (Professor of the Year) in the 2001-2002 academic year. He is presently associate professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Virginia where he has been podcasting course content since early 2006. He also serves on two committees for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), for vibration and sound and for nanosystems. He has authored over 25 technical publications and secured research funding from the National Science Foundation, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and Sandia National Laboratory. His current technical research focuses on nanoscale material characterization and atomic force microscopy, and his educational interests include instructional design using technology, especially tablet PCs and podcasting.

Cursos de Verano Complutense de Madrid en podcast

Universia y la Universidad Complutense de Madrid firman un convenio para difundir las jornadas de El Escorial en forma de podcast

El consejero delegado de Universia, Jaume Pagès, y el rector de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Carlos Berzosa, ayer un convenio de colaboración para impulsar la creación y divulgación, a través de Internet, de contenido educativo en formato "podcast". Este nuevo proyecto se estrenará con las ponencias y encuentros desarrollados durante los cursos de verano de la Complutense en El Escorial.

A juicio de Pagès, el "podcasting " permitirá "difundir conocimiento de forma rápida y eficaz", así como ampliar las posibilidades de todos aquellos que no puedan asistir a los cursos presenciales. (leer más...)

Unleashing Creativity With Student Podcasts

Professors aren't the only ones making podcasts for the purpose of education. Their students are being required to create them as part of the curriculum. "The creativity that gets unleashed by the podcasts is just phenomenal," said Nanette Levinson, associate professor at American University. "It really enhances [students'] creativity and their ability to communicate effectively."

Get the tools you need to stop adware and viruses from these expert resources.

Producing podcasts is not a typical assignment in college writing class, but it's what Heather Schell requires from her students at George Washington University.

Schell, assistant professor in the school's University Writing Program, asked her freshman writing class last year to produce a weekly "radio show," a series of podcasts they wrote, recorded, edited and posted on the Web.

"I really enjoyed it," said one of the students, Kirsten Gilbert, who began the class as a "technophobe" and ended as a podcast pro. "I learned a lot about podcasting. It taught you how to write pieces to be heard, not to be read."

Schell is among an increasing number of college professors to use podcasts -- audio files that can downloaded to iPods and computers -- as they discover the advantages of technologically savvy teaching, said Suzan Harkness, assistant professor of political science at the University of the District of Columbia(leer más...)

Moodlecaster's Podcast

Hace mucho que no hablábamos de podcasts, hoy os traigo un enlace que creo interesante. Para los que no estéis acostumbrados a los podcasts, he dejado que suene nada más que entréis en el blog, no me parece lo mejor(porque es como una intrusión en tu ordenador, a mi me suele molestar que salga algo de sonido que no espero), pero para los no familiarizados con las posibilidades que permite el audio (el gran olvidado en la web) me parecía efectivo. Si queréis parar el sonido sólo tenéis que pulsar en pause en el cuadro gris de la izquierda.

Alucinante, si es verdad..puede ser muy divertido!!! Estaremos al tanto , a ver como funciona.

Ultimamente parece que el podcas y el iPod (de dónde deriva la palabra podcast), se ha convertido en el deseo del mundo mundial, incluso se ha creado un ranking de desarrollo tecnológico basado en el precio del iPod, que se ha llamado índice iPod. Que fuerte!!!

Aquí tenéis el enlace a tres modos de dar la noticia(que por supuesto, merece análisis a parte los titulares:

¿Qué es educasting?

Educasting es un proyecto que incentiva la correcta creación de podcasts educativos. Nace del estudio de los parámetros comunicacionales que afectan la transmisión de conocimiento a través de esta tecnología y se propone como una iniciativa colaborativa.

Identificando los criterios comunicacionales del podcast

Este sitio nace de un proyecto de tesis presentado a la Universidad Diego Portales en septiembre del presente año (2006) bajo el título "Aplicaciones comunicacionales del podcast en el área de la educación" por los alumnos Amir Yazdani-Pedram, Carlos Puccio y Katia Guiloff de la carrera "Comunicación Multimedial". Esta tesis se propone investigar la nueva tecnología podcast y sus aplicaciones en el ámbito educativo.

Dentro de ella se desarrollan y estudian los parámetros comunicacionales que afectan la transmisión de conocimiento a través de un podcast desde una perspectiva tanto técnica como teórica y enmarcándolos en un contexto histórico y tecnológico determinado.

Como producto del estudio realizado y conclusión del mismo se obtiene la "Guía de buenas prácticas para el desarrollo de podcasts educativos" que viene a ser la base del sitio Educasting.info.
